This new SF rooftop venue isn’t even open yet…but This new SF rooftop venue isn’t even open yet…but the preview party was insane.

We kicked off Super Bowl week with a sneak peek of Dante’s Inferno, an upcoming rooftop bar, supper club, and nightclub.

Owner Dante went all out for the preview with a stacked DJ lineup including DJ Pee .Wee, aka Anderson .Paak, plus surprise guest Too $hort. We danced our asses off.

Even the cocktails were on theme, named after the seven deadly sins.

The upcoming multi-story concept on Market Street will feature Jamaican and Italian-inspired dishes, live music, and multiple bars.

They are bringing the tropical heat to San Francisco and we can’t wait.

January wasn’t easy, but it was a good month of ea January wasn’t easy, but it was a good month of eating around San Francisco. With everything unfolding lately, it’s been grounding to live in a place that values human dignity and doesn’t blindly trust authority.

Some moments of joy…

- Two visits to longtime favorite @sanhowon
- Dungeness crab canh chua x cioppino at @lilyonclement
- A dream 16-course mushroom tasting at @merchantroots
- Early Valentine’s Day card-making for nursing homes
- Birthday celebrations and roasting a dear friend
This is San Francisco in a bowl. Built by immigran This is San Francisco in a bowl. Built by immigrants.

Cioppino was created by Italian American immigrants right here in SF.

Canh chua is a Vietnamese sweet and sour soup, bright with tamarind, pineapple, and tomato.

Different origins, same city, and now one dish: Seafood Chuappino.

It’s peak Dungeness crab season, so it comes loaded. Half a crab, New Zealand rock shrimp and mussels, sea bass, and smoked salmon collar.

Served with saffron turmeric baked rice, with the crispy rice bottom to top it all off.

It easily feeds two. And it’s only here for a limited time at Lily on Clement street.
