🎩🫖 an SF mad tea party Merchant Roots is hosting 🎩🫖 an SF mad tea party

Merchant Roots is hosting a mad tea party, and it starts the moment you walk in.

You’re handed a passionfruit potion, and suddenly you’re wandering through a hedge maze.

Then the tea party begins. With hidden chicken pot pies, high tea, but it’s caramelized onion soup, and cheddar scones.

The fish and chips are in a garden of mushy peas.

And the bean on tostada? They were fiery.

Then out came a hat to reveal beef wellington, literally in a hat.

If you’re already questioning reality, just wait. The teacup was not actually cake. We verified.

And finally, the apple of your eye, on a tart. I tasted delightful.

The whole experience is whimsical, theatrical, and we were laughing the whole time.

Merchant Roots’ Mad Tea Party runs through June, with a few vegetarian-only nights.

And if you’re not ready for the full experience, you can still stop by their speakeasy, Bar Orso, for cocktails.
