Serving up Pies, Wings, and Vibes – Monsieur Benjamin Pop-up at Casements, San Francisco

On a Monday where I found myself talking to one too many lawyers (long story), I was very much looking forward to a fun and relaxing evening at the Monsieur Benjamin pop-up at Casements Bar. Chefs George Dingle, Yeoh Chee, and team definitely delivered with a comforting menu of stuffed chicken wings and English beef pies accompanied by a backdrop of live music in the vibrant outdoor courtyard at Casements Bar.

First up were Chef Yeoh’s stuffed chicken wings, impressively deboned and stuffed with chicken sausage and served with peanut satay dipping sauce. It was a joy to cut into the wing and experience the contrasting crunchy breading, with juicy boneless dark meat and sausage filling.

Next was Chef George’s traditional English beef pie, with a buttery flakey crust, savory hearty beef filling, and paired with decadently smooth and creamy mash and gravy. Now this is the cure to Monday blues.

The meal was washed down with your choice of beer or wine from Casements. Hearty food, a live DJ, and pleasant outdoor San Francisco late summer weather made for an enjoyable time indeed!
